Nestled in the heart of Sherwood Forest, Loxley’s Lodge provides self catering, pet friendly accommodation for up to 6 guests. Whether you are seeking the peace and tranquillity of a secluded woodland haven or want an adrenalin filled/active break – or a combination of both – Loxley’s Lodge is perfectly located. Sherwood Forest and the Major Oak, which legend has it was used by Robin Hood and his Merry Men for shelter are just a short drive from the lodge. As are several country parks and stately homes including Rufford Abbey, Newstead Abbey, Clumber Park and Thoresby Hall. Meanwhile, Nottingham Castle is approximately 45 minutes away by car. Alternatively, if you’re looking for something a little more active, why not try paintballing, axe throwing, archery or laser tag at Adrenalin Jungle which is literally just up the lane. Or there is Go Ape at Sherwood Pines Visitors Centre. For younger children, Wheelgate Theme and Water Park and White Post Farm are just a 10 minute drive from the lodge.
